INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SUBSYSTEM

The inventory management subsystem is designed to integrate to existing and proposed in-house inventory management systems. The inventory is unique in the way it is designed by supporting two separate interfaces to your products. Our database is designed to support easy integration to in-house systems through support for an exact match to the "real" warehouse inventory codes that are reported on orders submitted to the warehouse for more accurate picking and shipping.

• Inventory items
  This database is used to store inventory of items carried in stock. Actual item names and stock numbers for the warehouse can be stored in this file.
• Product Items
  This database is used to define items for sale. In the simple case a single item in inventory is sold as is and there is no advantages in this case. Typically the inventory as it is stored is not how things are sold. Product databases can contain items defined to allow users to pick the color or size of an items but correctly pick the warehouse stock number from the inventory database for internal tracking of inventory levels. It is in cases like this where the power of the Sell-It! Inventory Subsystem begins to bring great advantages to our clients.

Inventory Management Features

• Simple "Items" which is a one to one mapping from product to inventory
• Packages of "Items" which is a one to many mapping from product to inventory where each item in the package is charged at the tax rate of the inventory item. The customer on the web also has the ability to adjust quantity and or remove a part of the package from their shopping cart if they so desire.
• Kit of "Items" which is a one to many mapping from product to inventory where the entire kit use a single tax structure. Kit can be sold at a reduced rate based on a predetermines $ or percent off each item or on a $ or percentage off the entire kit. The customer on the web does not have the ability to adjust quantity and or remove a parts of a kit from their shopping cart.
• Complex items is a product that is used to present flavours or colors etc to a customer where prices can change depending on the options selected.
• The web master is allowed to Add, edit and delete inventory as required, select product for use in packages or kits. Kits and packages are assigned there own SKU's and are built based on the items currently available in the systems inventory.
• Currently out of the box our proposed solution supports item sales by simply clicking a flag on and off.
• Cross Selling support: A link to alternate items can be displayed with each item on the site.
• Cross Selling support: A link to accessories items can be displayed with each item on the site.
• Cross Selling support: A link to "previous people who purchased this item also purchased these" can be displayed with each item on the site.
• Offer of gifts to your consumers based on overall value of their purchase.
• Through the use of the Catalogue Subsystem the web master can define a category for any goal and point any products from the existing inventory database to be displayed when a customer selects this category.
• Content Manager adds the ability to provide any type of additional descriptions as either links or details displayed on the item page identified by the site manager.
• Out of stock management, the client can choose for items to
  
  1. stop selling and hide from customers,
  2. stop selling and allow customers leave an e-mail address for later notification of when item are in stock.
  3. sell without any effect by stock levels
