BACK OFFICE UPDATE UTILITY

• Secure login
• Support two type of users, Super User, Worker Users. Can be expanded to support different user levels as defined by the client.
• Count of number of active visitors using the site at the current time.

Shopping Cart

• Optionally require customer registration, allow only "walk-up" customers or support both types of customers.
• Supports alternate shipping address to billing address.
• Supports customer preferred currency but bills in currency of transaction server. Displays both totals at invoice presentation.
• Allowance of optional request for packaging type with up-charge if required. Good for gift wrapping, shipping options like pallets etc.
• Optional customer comments with order submission.
• Up-sell at time of invoicing based on cart value or the actual item in the cart. For example, spend 500.00 and get item X free.
• Shipping rates determined by weight, country by shipping option (air, ground, etc) or integration to Canada Post's e-parcel shipping system, UPS and others.

Payment gateway interface

• Currently support e-Xact transaction interface and can be integrated to transaction service of your choice.
• Secure acceptance of Credit Card with encryption in database optional.
• Transactions can be captured and saved for mannual processing.
• Purchase Orders can be used for payment by customers. This can be restricted to "Approved Customers" only.

Customer management

• As above, visitors can be forced to register with the site in order to purchase or be processed as a "walk-up" customer.
• Registered users have the following advantages:
  • Order history stored.
  • Catalogue price currency conversion to preferred currency.
  • Reports for ordering statistics.
• All customers optional access to order tracking updates. Unregistered users are forced to keep a link to their orders in their e-mail. Registered users have history stored for them as above and access to these reports can be optionally turned on or off at the time of configuration.
